Taste and History
Halkidiki is an individual location, with a colorful mosaic, many special features and a delicious cuisine. Its ingredients usually consist of indigenous materials, which are presented through interesting recipes and simple dishes, full though of essence and dreamy flavors.
It is about a cuisine, obviously influenced by fresh fish, olives, dairy products, virgin olive oil, local meat and famous wines as well, filling a rich palette of flavours. It has been harmonious completed by the valuable guidance of the refugees that settled in after the Minor Asia destruction, the Mount Athos cooking charasteristics, the Macedonian one and the Mediterranean as well.
The cuisine’s character is being maintained in Halkidiki’s hospitable homes, by famous chefs,and in the area’s hotels, which offer its courses either pure or through pleasant alterations.
